IKEA X LET’S GO ZERO COMPETITION LAUNCH

IKEA X LGZ Competition for schools: Applications closed.

After a successful launch last year, the IKEA X Let’s Go Zero school competition is back again – encouraging teachers and pupils to sign up and submit ideas which will make their school more sustainable – whether reducing emissions or increasing biodiversity – as part of a wider drive to unite communities in doing their bit to fight climate change.

Four schools from across the UK will receive help from IKEA to bring their ideas to life. They’ll receive products, solutions and funds from the retailer, up to the value of £2,000 for each project.

Alex Green, Schools Lead at Let’s Go Zero says:

“We are delighted to be working with IKEA again on the Let’s Go Zero campaign and this exciting competition. Schools are at the heart of our communities and we know that by supporting projects within schools we can inspire our young people, and their families and communities to be real climate champions.”

With 42% of all UK households home to school-aged children, the classroom is a natural place to inspire change across communities for the next generation. Both schools and children play a critical role in helping the UK cut carbon emission levels, building on the existing energy and passion of the next generation to be more climate conscious and make beneficial changes. The IKEA x yn rhedeg her flynyddol Go Zero Competition will enable schools to lead by example and inspire others to be a part of the UK’s zero carbon transformation.
