London2Glasgow Ride to Zero

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in the London2Glasgow Ride to Zero to fundraise for Let’s Go Zero. Over the course of their journey, they raised £8852 and saved over 1342 kilos of carbon!

Let’s take a look at the highlights from each day!

Day one saw the team depart from London at 8:30 and cycle up to Northampton! That 66-mile, 7 hour ride earnt them a good nights rest after their stop at the Watling Academy, which is one of almost 800 schools who are part of the Let’s Go Zero campaign! Day two took the riders 73 miles from Northampton to Cannock, with an apparently gentle undulating ride with 704m of elevation! We’re sure everyones legs were getting sore by lunchtime!

Cannock to Manchester was the order of the day for the third day of the ride! Still all smiles at this point, even if the weather was getting worse and the mudguards were going on!

Day 4 seems to be where the going got tough! A massive ride 75-mile ride with 1289 meters of elevation from Manchester to Kendal. We hope the scenic lunchtime stop was worth it!

For most of us, a Sunday in October is a great chance to put your feet up and chill out. Appears that this lot didn’t get the memo on their 80-mile ride from Kendal to Dumfries. Luckily it was downhill across the border…

At 7:15am on day 6, the rider got strapped in for the final leg of the Ride to Zero with just the Dumfries to Glasgow stretch to go!  A mix of smiles and sore legs to power through the final 80 miles!

Not a bad effort if you ask us! A final huge thank you to all the riders who took on the Ride to Zero, and for all the support from Iceni, Elliott Wood, Barratt Homes, the Royal Association of Architects in Scotland, HAUS Collective, Mactaggart and Mickel, Segro and CBRE!
