Why Let’s Go Zero is leaving X (formerly Twitter)

Inclusivity is fundamental to the work of Let’s Go Zero, a campaign created and run by climate solutions Ashden. It’s one of the five core values at the heart of our new strategy. We seek out partners who share these values, and also choose not engage to with suppliers, partners or public platforms whose work runs in direct opposition to them.

Much of the content currently published on X, as well as recent statements and actions by its owner, place the platform in opposition to our values. The decision to stop posting on our Ashden and Let’s Go Zero accounts from X has not been taken lightly, given our mission – showcasing outstanding climate solutions, and accelerating systemic change that unleashes their transformative potential.

We will continue to interact and share content on other platforms:

You can also hear from us via our websites (Ashden and Let’s Go Zero), as well as regular newsletters, and events.

We’d like to thank our many followers and others who have engaged with us on X, and hope you will continue to do so through other channels.

Jo Walton,

Director of Communications and People, Ashden
