1000 Schools, 1000s of Stories

We now have more than 1,000 schools, colleges and nurseries signed up to the Let’s Go Zero campaign! All of them are showing their ambition to be zero carbon by 2030.  Ready to join them – sign up today.

We’re incredibly proud to be working with over 1,000 schools from across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Schools are such an important part of their communities, and with 544,000 students and 75,500 school staff involved we know that this campaign is changing communities across the country – for the better! When schools make sustainable choices, they help spread knowledge about our climate and the action we can all take to help secure a zero carbon economy for future generations.

Let’s Go Zero is a coalition led by climate solutions charity Ashden, and supported by IKEA UK & Ireland, Global Action Plan, WWF, The Carbon Trust, Sustrans, The Soil Association, and Fairtrade. It’s amazing that we have so much support from charities, but without the inspiring action taken by individual students, school staff and schools across the country Let’s Go Zero would just be an idea.

With your help – we’ve turned Let’s Go Zero into a framework for climate action across the UK.

With your help – we’ve shown that there is demand for climate action in all educational settings across the UK.

With your help – we’re driving government policy changes so that all schools have the support that they need to become zero carbon by 2030.

In nurseries, schools and colleges, teachers and students UK-wide have shown that change is possible.

One thousand schools, 1,000s of stories.

We want to spread the word about your stories and use that knowledge to help other schools take climate action.

Let’s Go Zero schools have been taking action to cut their emissions with transport, waste, food, water, the school grounds, energy use, procurement and in their teaching.

We’ve been collecting that knowledge with stories from Let’s Go Zero schools, and we’ll be showcasing the incredible action schools have been taking.

It’s time to show everyone that climate action is possible and positive.

Its time to inspire change.

It’s time to show that Let’s Go Zero is a movement of schools working to secure a green future for us all.

Know a school that should join? Send them here to sign up.
